Vice President of Finance and Administration


Job Description:

Our client, a non-profit organization recognized as a leader in improving healthcare quality, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic leader to join its executive leadership team as the Vice President of Finance and Administration. The Vice President has overall strategic and operational responsibility for Finance and Administration Departments. This is a direct hire position based in Cary, NC.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage financial, human resources, facilities, information technology, contract administration, and investment portfolio for the organization.

  • Report to the President & CEO and work closely with the Board of Directors on budgets and forecasting estimates, and financial performance, supervise finance and administrative staff, manage relationships with financial advisors, banks, audit firms, clients and government contracting entities.


Education Requirements:


  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree. An MBA and/or CPA is preferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Must have federal and state government contracting experience, preferably in a not-for profit health care or related company or entity.


Qualifications:


  • Experience in a senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development of creative financial management strategies including developing competitive pricing models.

  • Experience overseeing management of administrative areas (HR, IT, facilities, contracts) in a growth environment with an emphasis of creating systems and processes which are effective and efficient.

  • Significant experience in nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated contract management accounting, compliance and reporting.

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.

  • Self-starter who demonstrates the highest standards of integrity.

  • Excellent analytic and abstract reasoning, problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Strong business partner who has successfully negotiated favorable terms with contracting agencies, vendors, suppliers and others.

  • Desire to be a part of making positive outcomes in the health care system
