Tax Processing Clerk

Job Description:

Our client, an accounting firm in Downtown Wilmington, is searching for a Tax Processing Clerk to provide administrative support to their team during the upcoming tax season. The Tax Processing Clerk will work full-time, with some occasional overtime, and must be available to work the entire tax season. The Tax Processing Clerk position offers $13/hour and starts in January 2019, ending in April 2019.


  • Execute tax processing practices, including collating, assembly, scanning, and monitoring tax control logs and reports

  • Complete general administrative duties to support line of business as required

  • Print and assemble tax returns

  • Assign scanned client documents to the appropriate staff

  • Produce letters and support large annual mailing/distribution

  • Provide coverage at reception desk as needed

  • Send client ad hoc emails

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Proficient in Excel and Adobe

  • Experience utilizing office equipment, including scanners, printers, label machines and copiers

  • Ability to type 40 wpm


  • One to three years of related office experience
