Job Description:

Our client, a Technology Startup company located in the Durham area, is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to join their team. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment for entry level to executive roles supporting all areas of the business including Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Services, Product and Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience with AAP and EEO compliance, technical recruiting and building relationships with hiring managers. This is a direct hire position with our client.


  • Lead in the day to day operation of sourcing, attracting, recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new employees.

  • Manage high volume, end-to-end life cycle of recruitment across multiple departments.

  • Support strategic hiring goals laid out by quarterly hiring plan.

  • Partner with executive team and hiring managers to align hiring plans, resource needs, and recruitment strategy with company objectives.

  • Partners with People Ops, HR and hiring managers to provide an exceptional recruitment experience for candidates, hiring managers, and interview teams.

  • Ensure consistency in recruitment efforts and adherence to our client's Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and diversity practices.

  • Utilize market research data to benchmark competitive pay for open roles.

  • Coordinate phone screens, interviews, reviews candidate feedback, and schedule candidate debriefs as necessary with HR, hiring managers, and internal hiring teams.

  • Track communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process via applicant tracking system (ATS).

  • Strategically source passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter to augment recruiting efforts and expand the pipeline for niche or hard-to-fill roles.

  • Craft offer letters and benefits overviews for candidates, conduct reference checks, and process local and federal background checks for new hires.

  • Train employees to conduct cultural contribution interviews, behavioral based interviews, and technical interviews.

  • Conduct company-wide surveys to gather insight and report on employee engagement.

  • Lead internal communication efforts regarding People Ops related updates.

  • Promote a positive work culture through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun.

  • Identify, organize, and attend local recruiting events and meetups in alignment with our hiring goals.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Desired Background/Skills:


    • 6-8 years of end-to-end recruitment experience.

    • Experience in entry level to executive roles all over the house (HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, AM, Services, Product, Engineering).

    • Experience in AAP & EEO compliance, to help educate our client's hiring managers and employees on best practices.

    • Training newer hiring managers on partnering with a recruiter

    • Analytical thinker.

    • Strong communicator across all levels

    • Product/tech focus is key.
