Strategic Accounts Manager


Job Description:

Our client is a global manufacturer of power connectivity and they are searching for an experienced Strategic Accounts Manager to help with the success of their team. Based out of their Creedmoor, NC headquarters, a successful candidate will use knowledge of distribution (preferably in the electrical, power, data center, or communications industries) to grow existing account market share and profitability.


Responsibilities:


  • Support existing customers with product information and pricing

  • Develop new customers

  • Process sales quote requests

  • Create trusting customer relationships to facilitate new opportunities

  • Qualify inbound calls and facilitate sale or route to appropriate party

  • Telesales and customer visits as required

  • Work closely with all parts of the organization as an active team member


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • Sales experience for or to distribution.

    • A solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM, and Sage or another ERP system

    • Detail orientated and able to handle multiple tasks

    • Self-motivated and able to work as a member of a team in an open office environment

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to negotiate skillfully in different situations

    • Excellent planning and time management skills

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
