Sr. Staff Accountant

Job Description:

Our client is hiring a Sr. Staff Accountant to join its team! This person will oversee and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable specialists. This is an onsite role that requires candidates to live in Raleigh.


  • Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions entered into the financial system.

  • Analyze the general ledger transactions and/or financial statements for discrepancies and alerts manager when necessary.

  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.

  • Performs month end close reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely reporting and ledger maintenance.

  • Create, plan, and prepare financial models and other ad hoc reporting as requested.

  • Evaluate workflow processes and procedures to develop, recommend, and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy and efficiencies.

  • Faciliates the completion of the external audits and tax returns.

  • Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders to identify business opportunities and risk.

  • Assist with the daily, monthly and year-end operations of the Finance & Admin Department.

  • Maintain and protect organizational values by keeping information confidential.

  • Availability to work 45 hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays based on the needs of the business.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate or BS degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
