Solutions Engineer

Job Description:

Our client, a leader in business IT solutions, is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join their team! This position is responsible for conducting complex troubleshooting diagnostics, research, evaluation, and documentation duties on hardware, software, operating systems and network problems for administrators and end users. Manage the implementation and design of cloud computing environments and support helpdesk requests for assistance. This is a ful time, direct hire position based in Raleigh, NC.


  • Function as a project manager ensuring data migration to cloud computing solutions.

  • Manage day to day operational aspects of a project and scope.

  • Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.

  • Minimize our exposure and risk on project.

  • Resolve escalated tickets.

  • Install and repair all necessary software/operating systems at the server and desktop level.

  • Troubleshoot endpoints and mobile devices problems.

  • Use internal NeoCloud systems to document all requests, solutions and time accounting.

  • Resolve technical issues over the phone or remotely after hours and be on-call for emergency issues on a rotation basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field.

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Three (3) years of proficient support experience in the Information Technology field with specific emphasis on Microsoft software infrastructure and mobile devices.

    • Experience supporting Cloud Computing and SaaS solutions.

    • Pass MCSA Office 365 and MCSE Messaging exams within 30 days of hire date.

    • Pass G Suite Sales, Administrator and Deployment Specialist exams within 30 days of hire date.

    • Ability to work in a collaborative, team based environment and be detailed oriented.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills.

    • Strong ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.

    • Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft and Mac operating systems.

    • Expert at administering, monitoring and troubleshooting a number of cloud computing solutions including G Suite and Office 365.

    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server, Mac OS X, Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and Office; iPhone, Android and Windows mobile devices; G Suite, DNS systems, and File sharing systems.
