Set Up Technician


Job Description:

Our client in Roxboro, NC has an immediate need for a Direct Hire, Injection Mold Set Up Technician. Qualified candidates will be available immediately and have flexibility to work over-time hours in a fast paced manufacturing facility.


Responsibilities:


  • Required to own various processes that occur within the plastic injection molding department

  • Performs accurate, time efficient mold setups in machines ranging from 22ton~400 ton

  • Will ensure the setup is in compliance with setup sheets and producing high First Pass Quality and perform regularly structured process audits while making necessary adjustments to keep the process in control towards optimal machine efficiencies

  • Must demonstrate a high mechanical aptitude with strong math skills, excellent understanding of molding materials, and technologies

  • Will possess a strong level of process troubleshooting techniques; Quickly identify root cause and implement prevention of recurrence for non compliant products

  • Maintain clean molds/machines while maintaining all equipment in excellent running condition

  • Improve and optimize run parameters to achieve the highest quality and quantity of output

  • Optimize mold cycle times

  • Will effectively work in a matrix organization while successfully collaborating with engineering and manufacturing team members towards Continuous Process Improvement


Education Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • 3+ years of Injection Mold Set up experience

    • Flexibility in shift assignment

    • Ability to assist with other assignments as needed
