Senior Developer

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Senior Developer to join their team! This is a full time, contract to hire position based in Durham, NC.


  • Acquire and interpret business requirements to determine the most efficient/appropriate solution design.

  • Configure, analyze, design, develop, and maintain program codes and applications to support business processes and functions.

  • Work on elements of large, complex installations.

  • Provide ongoing support of the Applications environment.

  • Work jointly with other analysts and administrators and continuously cross-train other functional/technical team members.

  • Develop custom reports and applications to fulfill business information requirements. Fully and clearly document all development activities.

  • Assist users to understand and leverage new and existing application functionality to carry out their job responsibilities.

  • Provide support of custom and standard system functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve problems when failures occur.

  • Provide leadership to remove customizations and standardize business functionality to use Standard Capabilities.

  • Apply knowledge and experience with technology and application development methodologies to perform systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, file design and storage.

  • Work on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a technical leader.

  • Work on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and knowledge of a specific business area.

  • May coach more junior technical staff.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Desired Background/Skills:


    • 7-10 years related experience

    • Demonstrated experience and skill in .NET, C# and SQL programming and design

    • Demonstrated experience with developing and using Windows based applications and Web Services

    • Ability to analyze third party API?s and Web Services for the purpose of developing application integrations with third party vendors

    • Experience developing solutions with Java Script is desired

    • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel

    • Ability to multi-task, detail and accuracy

    • Excellent communication both verbally and in writing

    • Ability to work independently as well as with others

    • Ability to obtain proper security clearances as noted by contracts
