School Servicing Center Specialist


Job Description:

Our client in the Raleigh, NC area is seeking a School Servicing Center Specialist to add to their team! In the position you will work independently in a fast-paced environment during peak processing periods to review documents and information for completeness. This is a contract position that will last approximately 6 months, with a full time schedule working Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm).


Responsibilities:


  • Review incoming documents and past activity on files to determine the appropriateness of documents and to ensure proper handling of special or exception cases.

  • Perform data entry of tax and other financial information from documents provided to support verification review.

  • Validate incoming faxes.

  • Assist management as needed and perform other duties as assigned.


Education Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Associates degree preferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Previous experience in a financial aid office environment preferred but not required


Qualifications:


  • 3+ years related experience

  • Previous experience reviewing documents and performing data entry.

  • Basic knowledge of Title IV financial aid and Federal Tax policy and terminology.

  • Ability to complete assigned tasks and follow both verbal and written direction with minimal supervision.

  • Skill working with computer programs and ability to adapt quickly to system changes.

  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships and work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
