Sales Representative-Insurance


Job Description:

Our client, a growing insurance brokerage service located in downtown Wilmington, is searching for motivated and competitive individuals to join their team as Sales Representatives. As a Sales Representative, you would receive inbound phone calls and work with potential customers to research and determine the best insurance policies to fit their various needs. The Sales Representative role is a full-time opportunity in a fun environment downtown with OTE of $65K and excellent benefits! The next three-week training course for Sales Representatives is in September. Property & Casualty license must be obtained by August 19th.


Responsibilities:


  • Receive inbound customer calls and ask appropriate questions to assess customers' needs

  • Educate and assist customers on the purchase of auto and home insurance products

  • Meet and/or exceed specific, attainable sales goals

  • Offer all information customers need to be informed buyers

  • Diligently shop for the best prices from the A-rated companies represented by the company


Education Requirements:


  • High school diploma required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Must possess P&C license or be able to obtain license by August 19th (reimbursed upon hire)

  • Strong technical skills

  • Sales background highly preferred


Qualifications:


  • Self-motivated: representatives must obtain their resident Property & Casualty license (will be reimbursed) and go through systems, carrier and product training

  • Strong work ethic: must work to meet and exceed sales goals

  • Competitive: a desire to achieve high personal and team goals

  • Good communication: using tools and training, maintain ability to highlight value proposition and products, to assess customers' needs and to overcome competitive sales objections

  • Positive attitude and sense of humor: the culture is friendly and fun!
