Job Description:

Our client, a Technology company located in the Durham area, is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to add to their team! This individual will be part of our client's dynamic sales team and will assist in moving business forward by developing lasting customer relationships. This is a full time, contract to hire opportunity. If you're looking to start or propel your sales career, this is the right role for you!


Responsibilities:


  • Drive new business for our client's Business Development Associates and Executives.

  • Much of your time will be spent cold calling, sending emails, identifying leads, gathering information on prospective customers, scheduling product demos with transit agencies and universities across the country.

  • Support our team with administrative tasks such as scheduling follow-up meetings with prospects, taking notes during sales calls and helping our client's team by documenting notes in the company CRM.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

    • Previous sales experience.

    • Exceptional communication and time management skills

    • A keen curiosity for not just products and technology, but people.

    • The drive to stay focused on short-term and long-term sales goals.

    • The motivation to work in a company where autonomy is valued, but collaboration is encouraged.

    • A natural ability to make cold-calls (previous cold-calling and cold-emailing experience a plus).

    • An understanding of Salesforce or another leading CRM solution helpful, but not required.
