Sales Assistant


Job Description:

Our client, based in Cary, are seeking to add a Sales Assistant to their team! This position will work directly with residential, commercial, and contractor and designer clients to support the Sales Manager. The Sales Assistant will be responsible for all necessary administrative and sales functions to provide excellent customer service. This is a contract-to-hire position with the potential of long-term growth. This is a first shift, Monday- Friday with alternating Saturdays.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist customers with product selection and design process.

  • Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments.

  • Maintain customer database

  • Check and verify customer information

  • Research potential stones or other forms of countertops.

  • Acquire and effectively communicate responses to customer questions.


Education Requirements:


  • High School or GED equivalent is preferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Skilled at making quality decisions and following written and verbal instructions to meet deadlines on tasks and projects

  • Design experience is a plus


Qualifications:


  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, QuickBooks and Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to build productive business relationships.

  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.

  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Prioritizing time management and organizational skills.

  • Pleasant personality for in-person and phone sales
