Regional Logistics Manager


Job Description:

Our client, an internationally recognized designer, manufacturer and marketer of components, is looking for a Regional Logistics Manager to join their team! The Regional Logistics Manager will be responsible for the logistics activities of all facilities in the US and Canada. These activities include warehouse design and operations, third party logistics, and transportation management. This is a full time, direct hire position based in Wendell, NC


Responsibilities:


  • Strategically plan, manage, and direct logistic activities across multiple locations in the region

  • Direct and manage the warehouses, vendors, and customer service

  • Work with internal teams to improve processes and services for efficiencies

  • Liaise and negotiate to control and improve costs and services

  • Manage budget and operating cost for all locations

  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints

  • Responsible for managing travel policy and costs for region

  • Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce

  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets

  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

  • Manage and control all trade compliance activity per company policy

  • Supports policies & procedure to promote continuous improvements to the quality of the product

  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelors of Science Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or other Related Discipline


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • Proven working experience as a logistics manager

    • Record of successful distribution and logistics management

    • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

    • Proficient in standard logistics software

    • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills

    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
