Real Estate Paralegal
Job Description:
Our client a local real estate law firm, is looking to add a Real Estate Paralegal to their team. Candidates must be professional, personable, quick learners with good attentions to detail. Prior experience in a real estate law office is highly preferred. Hours 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Fri. This is a full time, contract to hire opportunity!
Responsibilities:
Facilitates all aspects of purchase process including title production, title curative, HUD production, scheduling and disbursement
Builds effective and long-lasting relationships with agents, buyers, sellers, and lenders
Keep title, agents, buyers and sellers apprised on all issues that could cause potential delays
Initiates contact with agents and lenders
Requests relevant closing documentation
Prepares settlement statements, title documents, and attorney disclosures
Conducts initial review of loan package and documents for accuracy
Serve as a mentor and technical advisor for team members
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate Degree preferred
Paralegal Certification required
Desired Background/Skills:
2-3 years of Real Estate closings required
Must be a NC Notary
Qualifications:
Skilled at project management and well organized
Works well autonomously but enjoys being a part of a team
Quick learner on computer programs
Team player
Eager to learn, but also enjoys responsibility and running with tasks
Great communication skills and project management skills
Must be passionate about the client experience and cares about our reputation and relationship with our clients
