Job Description:

Our client, located in Raleigh, NC has grown into the industry-leading standard for IT buying and reselling and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to add to their team! This individual will be responsible for developing and managing technology and business projects and their cost, time and scope. This is a unique role and fantastic opportunity to take ownership of many strategic projects to drive our client's growth over the next few years. Responsibilities:


  • Scope, estimate, initiate, plan, create and manage assigned projects for internal strategic projects

  • Define project schedules, allocate resources and monitor progress

  • Align project objectives with company goals, and make sure project team is clear on objectives

  • Drive tight execution of project tasks to keep projects on time, on budget and within approved scope, leveraging the change control process as required

  • Help project team with additional task such as design and development tasks of certain project tracks

  • Anticipate and identify potential risks/problems to address before they materialize, including potential tradeoffs between competing priorities

  • Manage risk tracking proces

  • Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors

  • Work multiple projects simultaneously, while documenting all plans and progress to stay on top of the needs of the business

  • Have a good understanding of our business once onboarded to allow you to own the projects from start to finish in this operational environment

  • Generate high-level estimates and Statements of Work in support of the projects

  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly meetings and reporting cadence via all channels to ensure all stakeholders are up-to-date

  • Be the primary point of contact for new functional integration projects behind HQ, all offices and required personnel

  • Conducting project post-mortems and creating a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

  • Developing best practices and tools for project execution and management


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • Three or more years project management experience in IT, Technology sector or similar relevant experience

    • ITIL or ITSM certifications preferred. PMP certifications required.

    • Detail-oriented with ability to drive projects forward even in grey areas

    • Thrives in collaborative environment

    • Very strong communications skills, with customers, team and stakeholders

    • Business and IT strategy experience

    • Knowledge of related software tools

    • Demonstrated experience in agile/iterative project environment

    • Experience at working both independently, and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with in person stakeholders and remote teams

    • The ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
