Job Description:

Are you an outgoing strategic thinker who is ready to lead and influence in a glass-half-full environment? Our client, located in Cary, NC, is looking for a structured Project Manager to provide project management and oversight for technical and non-technical projects. This person will manage the planning and execution of strategic initiatives related to our technology roadmap and core program expansions, using both PMI standards and ISO standards to guide projects. The ideal candidate can organize information quickly and problem-solve while effectively prioritizing multiple initiatives. S/he should embrace being an adaptable change agent who fosters continuous improvement and has positive working relationships company wide. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity with an exciting company!


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate applicable internal and/or external resources for proper execution of projects.

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget; develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.

  • Assist business owners with defining project scope and objectives and in identifying all relevant stakeholders.

  • Measure/analyze project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Report on activities related to project status and completion, escalating to management as needed, and making recommendations for success.

  • Effectively manage project collaboration and maintain positive working relationships with all parties involved.

  • Effectively assess and manage risks and develop contingency plans.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and any process mapping necessary in accordance with PMI and ISO standards.

  • Participate in proposal development activities when necessary.

  • Meet defined departmental guidelines for training and continuous professional development.

  • Comply with ACHC's Quality Management System (QMS), established policies and procedures, and achievement of quality objectives (Balanced Scorecard.)

  • Participate in other Project Management and related process improvement initiatives, as assigned.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree and active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required, along with working knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • At least 5 years experience that includes technical and non-technical project management; specific experience leading technology implementation efforts a plus.

    • Proven success in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to diplomatically lead and influence project collaboration.

    • Solid organization skills and attention to detail; the capacity to autonomously drive and prioritize multiple initiatives.

    • Past achievement of timely milestone and project-end completions; proper communication/elevation related to roadblocks or concerns about closure also a must.

    • Proficiency with project management tools needed, with experience using SmartSheet highly desired.
