Project Coordinator


Job Description:

The IT Project Coordinator assists with project management processes and initiatives. The Project Coordinator assists project managers in coordinating activities of a project team. The Project Coordinator operates under general management supervision.


Responsibilities:


  • Assists project managers in creating and managing project schedules and in tracking progress in completing project tasks.

  • Project Coordinator utilizes appropriate tools and processes to help project managers manage/track requirements and conflicts; assist with appropriate change management processes when needed.

  • Manage cost; ensure financial forecast is created and maintained throughout the project.

  • Track and manage risk and issues; appropriately escalate to management and project stakeholders.

  • Assist in the preparation of status reports.

  • Participate in internal IT process improvements.

      Qualifications:

      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server

      • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Powerpoint)

      • Working knowledge of at least one development methodology (i.e. Scrum/Waterfall/XP)

      • Basic understanding of Organizational Change Management principles

      • Understanding of basic project accounting principles

      • Critical thinking and negotiation skills

      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions across all levels of the organization; and cultivate relationships with internal and external customers to achieve business objectives
