Job Description:

Our client, based in Durham, NC, is seeking a Project Administrator to join their IoT Engineering team. In this role you will support the IoT Engineering group by organizing and administering all types of projects, from simple tasks to complex project plans. Creating purchase orders, tracking project deliverables, maintaining a budget and generating reports are some sample activities for this position.   • Create, update, and manage all departmental purchase orders, contracts, budgets, NDAs and 3rd party engagements

  • Perform various tasks to assist internal teams with schedule management

  • Work with project managers to update project status, inform stakeholders of issues or concerns, post project updates to shared web location

  • Create and maintain project documentation and reports

  • Enter purchase orders into Oracle and handling system changes as needed

  • Work with 3rd party vendors on invoicing, statements of work, and budget reports

  • Coordinate and track departmental expenses against budget and plan

  • Collaborate with engineering team members to create design documents and generate requirements

  • Use tools such as MS Office to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures

Education Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Experience working with Oracle and Oracle purchasing

  • Familiarity with Agile software development, scrum, & JIRA

  • Experience with MS Project


  • 5 years proven work experience as a Project Administrator or related role

  • Solid organizational skills including multi-tasking and time management

  • Comfortable interacting with technical team members, peers, and management

  • Proficient with MS Office and software such as web browsers, time tracking tools, etc.

  • Fast learner and willing to learn new technologies/skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Professional demeanor, on-time and on-task
