Product Manager

Job Description:

Our client, located in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Product Manager to add to their team! This individual will work closely together identifying, gathering and communicating future requirements for the client's platform with both internal and external stakeholders. A primary role of the Product Manager will be to document use cases defining "who wants what", "who wants to deliver what", "what is needed to accomplish the what", and "when is the what needed". This person will participate in meetings and/or debriefings of meetings with stakeholders. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity that offers competitive Benefits and PTO.


  • Product Manager is in charge of product roadmap and the entire value chain of the product throughout the SDLC.

  • Help with strategy, concept, marketing, development, and growth of the product.

  • Collect and prioritize platform requirements derived from collaborating with our primary two stakeholders, credit unions and providers.

  • Collect and prioritize business and/or market requirements from prospects, customers of earlier versions of the product, domain experts, technology visionaries, market experts, products / solutions from competing vendors, etc.

  • Craft Marketing Requirements Documents, or MRDs, which synthesize the requirements / needs of various stakeholders as outlined above.

  • Use the MRD as a basis, come up with a product requirements document or PRD, as an input to the platform team to build out the product.

  • Deliver the PRD to the platform team and manage conflicts between the platform, customer and service team, as it applies to the software products to be built out.

  • Conduct acceptance tests.

  • Demonstrate the product to the Constellation team, external service providers and credit unions.

  • Assist in the creation of training materials.

  • Perform market research including, but not limited to, reviewing other products in our space.

  • Solicit more features and benefits from the users of the software product, users of competitive products, and from analysts and craft / synthesize these requirements for subsequent product build / release cycles, and pass them on to the platform team.

Education Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is a plus

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Experience as a consultant would be considered

  • Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies a plus


  • A minimum of 1 years' experience as a Product Manager or related experience

  • Experience with diagramming software (Visio, LucidCharts, etc.)

  • Experience with wireframe and mockup tools

  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle

  • Understanding of web based technologies a huge plus but not necessary

  • Flexible and willing to learn

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills (oral, presentation, and written)

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Occassinal travel may be required

  • Comfortable speaking out

  • Required to adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and standards
