Product Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

Our client us seeking a Product Compliance Specialist to join their team! The Product Compliance Specialist will respond to internal and external customer inquiries for product compliance and stewardship. Additionally, this role is responsible for compliance with RoHS, REACH, California Prop 65, TSCA, Conflict Minerals and other product relevant regulations for the product portfolio. This is a full time, direct hire position based in Wendell, NC.


  • Respond to customer requests regarding product compliance and stewardship requests, manage tracking of compliance related regulations and identify potential product changes or impact to R&D based on emerging product regulations.

  • Launch and compile results for the annual reasonable country of origin inquiry for conflict minerals for businesses using an outsourced provider and follow up on actions as required by customers related to high-risk smelters.

  • Manage development of full material disclosure for product families as requested by customers.

  • Coordinate product testing, compile results and provide recommendations for regulatory conformance for RoHS, REACH and customer specifications as required

  • Coordinate review and editing by third party consultant of products safety data sheets and labels to meet REACH and other chemical regulation and customer requirements including native language translations.

  • Approve raw materials and product builds for third party in system to document product compliance to RoHS, hazardous material and safety data sheet regulations,

  • Increase knowledge and awareness of product compliance and specifications within the divisional quality, operations, sales, planning/purchasing and R&D departments by creation and deployment of information on product compliance regulations and current controls.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Environmental or other Product Related Discipline

Desired Background/Skills:


    • 2 or more years of experience coordinating and implementing product compliance and/or stewardship in a global manufacturing, assembly and/or chemical manufacturing or processing site/facility.
