Planning Manager


Job Description:

Our client based in Louisburg, is hiring a Planning Manager for their team! This position reports directly to the Site Manager. Planning Manager will create schedules for production, be involved in building bill of materials (BOM), manage and forecast the usage of raw material inventory based on production schedules and quarterly sales forecast. This position is responsible for the logistics of production and shipping schedules. The Planning Manager is responsible for developing the weekly production plan judging by customer orders due dates and inventory levels and assisting the site manager in anything needed. The Planning manager will also assist sales service to translate customers' requests to internal production instruction and to confirm sales orders. The salary pay rate for this position is $45,000- $50,000/annually.


Responsibilities:


  • Open new parts for production utilizing ERP system

  • Build material list

  • Evaluate material costing within BOM

  • Open work orders

  • Check and confirm due dates and production conditions of new projects and new sales orders as part of contract review process

  • Build production schedule table for all production departments

  • Monitor production plan execution and make necessary changes through the week

  • Manage replenishment points


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree plus job experience, or master degree in industrial engineering or business administration


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and logistics of raw materials and finished inventory

  • ERP/Computer literacy with Microsoft Office

  • Strong MS Excel skills
