Payroll and Benefits Administrator


Job Description:

Our client, a broadcast media group located in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Part Time Payroll and Benefits Administrator to add to their team. This individual will perform a number of payroll duties for internal employees, as well as assist with benefits processes. This is a part time, contract opportunity!


Responsibilities:


  • Process payroll twice per month for 300+ employees including gathering data and administering data into company payroll system.

  • New hire on-boarding including; new hire paperwork, E-verification, benefit elections including medical, dental, long-term disability, short-term disability, 401k, Life/Accidental Disability and Dismemberment, and Supplemental Life.

  • Worker's compensation administration including claims, and reporting.

  • Unemployment claims processing.

  • Maintain and manage employment and payroll files.

  • Conduct annual open enrollment.

  • Manager and administer 401k plan enrollment in July including any hardship withdrawals/rollovers.

  • Administration of Family Medical Leave Act and short term disability for employee as needed.

  • Maintain all attendance controllers for employees.

  • Handle all COBRA issues, inquiries and notifications through third party administrator

  • Manage and administer the Employee Benefits Portal.

  • Review all benefit statements for accuracy.

  • Prepare reports for accounting.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

    Qualifications:


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    • Previous experience with Payroll and Benefit processes

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Extremely detail oriented
