Job Description:

Our client, located in the Morrisville, NC area is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player to join the Finance Team as a Payroll Analyst on a temporary basis. This opportunity is expected to last for 6 to 12 months, but has the possibility to convert to permanent for the right candidate if there is a full-time business need. This job requires domestic and international payroll knowledge and will be responsible for supporting the Global Payroll Manager in several aspects of the payroll process for our client's corporate headquarters as well as US and foreign subsidiaries.


  • Acting as the primary Payroll point of contact while the Global Payroll Manager is on a systems implementation assignment.

  • Processing and reporting of semi-monthly and monthly payrolls, employee records management, tax reporting, quarter-end filings, year-end close coordination, and providing superior customer service to approximately 700+ employees globally.

  • Uploading monthly payroll-related journal entries.

  • Reviewing and reconciling all payroll accruals to the general ledger.

  • Managing relationships with third-party payroll providers.

  • Serving as a liaison to employees to resolve payroll-related issues/disputes.

  • Servicing quarterly and annual external audit requests.

  • Managing SOX compliance initiatives associated with the payroll process.

  • Engaging with the Accounting and Human Resources teams to ensure processes run effectively.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Payroll software certifications a plus.

  • NetSuite general ledger experience.

  • Proactive approach to workload management


  • 5+ years of payroll experience.

  • Experience using ADP.

  • Global payroll experience required.

  • Payroll processing knowledge.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate projects, and manage a large amount of detailed tasks.

  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects to timely completion.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

  • Detailed record-keeping.

  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and assist team members.

  • Positive attitude.
