Part-Time Payroll Coordinator

Job Description:

Our client, located in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a skilled Payroll Coordinator to work with their team on a part-time basis. This individual will assist with a variety of tasks to provide support, troubleshooting, and reports to their Human Resources and Accounting team. This is a part-time, contract opportunity.


  • Ensures time cards are submitted accurately and on time.

  • Prepares batch report for payroll vendor.

  • Troubleshoots pay discrepancies and concerns.

  • Provides ad hoc financial reports as requested.

  • Communicates with Human Resources vendors ensuring vendor performance meets or exceeds requirements.

  • Assists with employee onboarding experience.

  • Assists the People Operations Team in continuing to build and maintain a high-performance work culture by designing and delivering staff activities aligned with our desired work culture.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Paycore experience is strongly preferred.

    • At least 1-2 years of payroll experience.

    • Some HR experience.

    • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.

    • Excellent relationship management skills.

    • Experience working with or in technology a plus.

    • Excellent oral/written communications and computer skills are required.

    • Excels in a team-based, collaborative environment working across the organization to advance the mission, values and goals.
