Part-Time Insurance Customer Service Representative


Job Description:

We are seeking an energetic Part-Time Insurance Customer Service Representative to join the team of locally owned independent insurance agency. The Part-Time Insurance Customer Service Representative must be interested in helping our business grow through value-based conversations and remarkable customer experience. In this position the Part-Time Insurance Customer Service Representative will work closely with sales staff to help understand the customer's needs, make changes to policies and accept payments. The Part-Time Insurance Customer Service Representative must have or obtain their NC Property & Casualty License prior to start. Hours M-Th 9 am-3 pm. Pay $16-$19hr Position located in Carolina Beach


Responsibilities:


  • Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed

  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service

  • Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification

  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services

  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options

  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day


Education Requirements:


  • 4 year degree preferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Prior experience as an insurance CSR preferred

  • Prior experience in a professional administrative role required


Qualifications:


  • MUST have NC Property & Casualty License

  • Service oriented

  • Friendly and upbeat

  • Detail oriented

  • Accountable

  • Professional in appearance and speech

  • Basic accounting skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and above average typing/computer skills

  • Willingness to learn

  • Great communication skills
