Job Description:

Our client, a growing Durham law firm, is seeking a dedicated paralegal to join the team. Duties will include assisting one of the attorneys with a variety of case types, including fiduciary litigation, estate planning, probate, guardianship, as well as limited corporate and civil litigation, and others. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.


  • Assisting attorney with client and case management.

  • Driving efficient use of attorney time.

  • Interaction with clients on a daily basis that is professional, courteous, and empathetic.

  • Assistance with timely management of invoices and messages.

Education Requirements:

    Desired Background/Skills:


      • Preferred 2+ years of experience working in a law firm (preference for paralegal certification).

      • High level of ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize.

      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

      • High accuracy and attention to detail, with strong analytical skills.

      • Research skills, including public records searches and legal research.

      • Experience in drafting, editing, and proofreading legal documents.

      • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven team environment.

      • Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgment.

      • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Google Apps skills.

      • Experience in working with practice management software.

      • Notary or ability to become notary public.
