Outside Technical Sales Representative


Job Description:

Our client, based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an enthusiastic Outside Technical Sales Representative to add to their team! This individual will be responsible for generating revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity that provides competitive benefits and PTO options.


Responsibilities:


  • Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.

  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.

  • Close new accounts by answering telephone, web and email inquiries; verifying and entering information.

  • Develop accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new products/services; explaining technical features.

  • Maintain client information databases.

  • Maintain and improve quality results by following standards; recommending improved practices and procedures.

  • Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.

  • Accomplish department and organizational goals by accepting ownership for executing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • Previous technical sales experience.

    • Highly motivated for selling, meeting stated sales goals, prospecting, Salesforce, Microsoft Office.

    • Previous experience and demonstrated sales success in technical services, ISP services or hardware.

    • Ability to address and negotiate with C-level executives.
