Operations Technician

Job Description:

We are currently looking for Operation Technician to join our client's team in Durham, NC. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated and enthusiastic towards meeting daily goals. The Operations Technician will report into the manufacturing team and perform set-up and operation of production equipment.


  • Perform a variety of functions in the production of semiconductor devices

  • Set-up, operate, load, and monitor specialized equipment to ensure quality product is produced

  • May be responsible for monitoring equipment operation, maintaining supply levels, inspecting final product, cleaning the work environment, and performing data entry

  • Assist in setting up workstations and following written or verbal process specifications in completing all assignments

  • Perform set up and operation of Photolithography equipment and processes

  • Inspect wafers using various metrology equipment

  • Support engineering activities for process improvements

  • Maintain accurate documentation of the wafer/lot processing

  • Perform shift, weekly qualifications on the Photolithography and metrology equipment

  • Able to perform light maintenance work.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Experience in a clean room, semiconductor, pharma, medical or any other type of advanced manufacturing

  • Technical degree is a plus

  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Ability to attain a "Trusted" security clearance


  • 2+ years prior manufacturing experience.

  • Basic computer and math skills

  • Ability to lift up to 35-55 pounds

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral; ability to read and write effectively

  • Comfortable working around chemicals

  • Ability to multi-task and approach tasks with detail-oriented manner

  • May be required to wear a cleanroom smock and utilize proper safety equipment

  • Great work ethic and ability to work with a diverse team
