Job Description:

Our client, a global non-profit research organization located in RTP, is seeking a .NET Developer to support database, web and desktop application development, and data management, for a range of multi-site clinical research networks. Duties may also include the development and testing of systems using a variety of off-the-shelf products and in-house software applications as well as management of clinical and epidemiological data.


  • Design and develop web and data integration applications using .NET technologies

  • Design and develop web-based clinical trial management tools using Microsoft web and database technologies

  • Program and perform maintenance of data and document management, randomization, tracking and other systems that support clinical research

  • Developing test cases and performing testing

  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of data managers, system developers and staff from other disciplines to develop technical solutions for clinical research

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Informatics, or other related discipline and at least 6 years of professional experience

  • A combination of performance, education and prior directly related experience may be considered as equivalent to the above requirements, provided that the individual possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job requirements satisfactorily

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Experience with client-side web technologies, such as HTML5, jQuery, and AngularJS

  • Proven ability to learn and apply new software quickly as projects require

  • Experience programming clinical electronic data capture systems (e.g. REDCap, Medidata Rave, OpenClinica or other clinical data management systems)

  • Experience developing integrated systems for clinical trials, multi-site or data coordinating center studies


  • Three years or more of programming experience using Microsoft technologies, such as Visual Studio (ASP.NET MVC, C#, Entity Framework), SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, Web Services, Azure, and with JavaScript or related web technologies

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the Unites States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
