Medical Data Collection Specialist


Job Description:

A Medical Data Collection Specialist (DCS) will collect and confirm contacts for each doctor, hospital, or medical provider; gain survey participation; and complete applicable coding of data.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform data entry tasks and navigate an electronic case management system while speaking on the phone

  • Identify the correct point of contact for each doctor, hospital, or medical provider over the phone as well as successfully gain his/her cooperation for study participation

  • Communicate to medical providers the importance of the survey and why their participation is valuable

  • Send and confirm receipt of authorization forms to provider before collecting data


Education Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • Some Post-Secondary Education Preferred

    Qualifications:


    • Two years of relevant work or customer service experience preferred; Related work experience may include but is not limited to: contacting, interviewing, and/or negotiating with business establishments, service providers, and other professional personnel

    • Proven business-to-business telephone etiquette and communication skills; ability to engage and persuade stakeholders successful

    • Data entry experience strongly preferred

    • Excellent computer skills and experience maneuvering between multiple programs/systems

    • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Effective time management and ability to work independently as required

    • Ability to interact comfortably and professionally with a variety of people


    Other Information:


    • Compensation: $13.00 / hour

    • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
