Marketing Coordinator


Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join their team! The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working with the Division's director to plan and execute all marketing efforts promoting the Division's executive education programs. This includes both print and electronic media. This is a full time, direct hire position based in the RTP in Durham, NC.


Responsibilities:


  • Managing production of direct marketing brochures for each executive education conference.

  • Serving as liaison with vendors involved in brochure production, including printers and mail houses.

  • Placing electronic ads, including developing content and working with the graphic designer for art.

  • Managing division's social media presence - namely LinkedIn and to a lesser extent Facebook and Twitter.

  • Serving as the Webmaster and using WordPress to update and maintain the website for individual conferences, webinars and most other areas.

  • Planning, creating and disseminating a calendar of key dates for the production of conference brochures.

  • Developing additional marketing initiatives (such as personalized letters, emails, electronic ads, webinars) as appropriate for specific segments of the target audience.

  • Pulling and managing mailing lists from internally maintained databases using Mailings Manager software.

  • Tracking the efficiency of lists and mailings, including doing a post-conference analysis.

  • Ensuring the overall quality, look and consistency of print and electronic materials produced for each program.

  • Writing and distributing press releases to appropriate media outlets for each conference.

  • Functioning as part of the team to support the overall efforts of the department.

  • Travel to attend conferences - approximately four times per year.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree prefferred


Desired Background/Skills:


  • SEO experience a plus.


Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent grammar and writing skills

  • Able to use Broadcast Email (ex. Constant Contact, MailChimp) and Website content management system (ex. WordPress)

  • Excellent communication skills and effective relationship building
