Job Description:

Our client, located in Raleigh, NC, is a development and managed services company that drives business value by leveraging API integrations and is seeking a skilled market Technical Director to add to their team! This individual will work well on a team and lead the client's and programs to success. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity that offers competitive benefits and other opportunities.


  • Translate client requirements into statements of work containing technical and non-technical deliverables.

  • Own estimating technical delivery effort, recommending team composition and assisting in the pricing of client engagements.

  • Oversee technical delivery work across all market client engagements.

  • Assists with identifying technical team skill and resource needs.

  • Provide training on new technology stacks and assisting in the career development of technical resources.

  • Develop topic specific thought leadership for either publication or speaking engagement.

  • Easily adapt to new project requirements and client expectations.

  • Develop creative solutions to client business and technical problems.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Expert consulting experience

    • Strong pre-sales experience

    • Proven history of managing delivery and workload across multiple client engagements

    • Extensive experience with Software Development and Delivery and understanding of CI/CD and QA best practices

    • Ability to articulate the impact of a technical solution, risk, or issue in a meaningful way to a business client

    • Strong people manager; ability to mentor, coach, and develop the team and the individual

    • A strong understanding of modern API standards such as REST and graphQL, including prior API design experience

    • Proven ability with programming languages, such as Java, Python, Javascript, or C#

    • Understanding CI/CD and QA best practices

    • Ability to write and review effective technical documentation, such as tutorials and API service specs

    • Experience with modern operations technologies (docker, chef, kubernetes), including network and cloud infrastructure providers
