Job Description:

Our client, a global non-profit research organization based in RTP, is seeking to add a clerk to the Mapping and Sampling Services Team. The Mapping and Support Services Team generates maps for field staff on selected area segments in order to conduct data collection for area household and other surveys. This group also provides support to field staff including problem resolution, sub-segmenting on large area and/or high population segments for mapping and count list, and electronic quality control checks of keyed data. The team also supports various large-scale longitudinal surveys providing list receipt, quality control checks, and list formatting. This position will perform detailed edits on incoming address listings from field staff to ensure accuracy of data. This position is a 6 month contract role located in North Raleigh, NC.


  • Perform detailed edits on incoming address listings from field staff to ensure accuracy of data (spelling, legibility, geographic data, validity of city/town names and zip codes, street addresses, descriptions, and correct placement of dwelling units on field listing maps and more)

  • Ensure protocols and project methodology have been followed

  • Use satellite resources, USPS and public databases to update and correct listing errors to ensure data accuracy

  • Follow line by line guidelines for completing a thorough edit

  • Assess the quality of the listing and provide constructive feedback for the field staff

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma required

  • Bachelor degree preferred
