Manufacturing Equipment Technician

Job Description:

Our partner, a market-leading innovator and manufacturer of semiconductors has an opening for direct-hire positions for an Manufacturing Equipment Technician. The Manufacturing Equipment Technician's primary responsibility will support the Power & RF Wafer Fab manufacturing areas. The Manufacturing Equipment Technician will be responsible for all aspects of repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance related to the semiconductor fab. This position is a 12-hour, 3rd shift opportunity.


  • Performs Electro-mechanical root cause troubleshooting of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

  • Disassembles, repairs, and reassembles equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.

  • Install, modify, and repair all fab semiconductor processing equipment

  • Perform at a high level using hand tools and electrical/mechanical measurement devices

  • Perform high level vacuum system repairs

  • In-depth use of electrical and/or mechanical drawings during troubleshoot efforts

  • Assist in training and hands-on skill development of new or existing team members in areas/tools of expertise

  • Review, update and/or develop maintenance procedures to match best practices

  • Supports production as needed.

Education Requirements:

  • AAS in Electronics Technology or equivalent military electronics experience

  • 3+ years equipment maintenance experience

Desired Background/Skills:

  • 3+ years equipment maintenance experience on semiconductor tools

  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control

  • 5+ years experience in an industrial mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance position


  • Work effectively and take initiative with little continuous direct supervision

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Full understanding of mechanical, electrical and P&ID drawings for semiconductor equipment repair

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, schematics, and maintenance manuals

  • Working knowledge of vacuum and gas delivery systems

  • Team player with a positive attitude

  • Strong work ethic and self-starter, ability to perform assigned tasks with little direction/supervision

  • Must be able to lift 65 lbs.
