Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Manager of Operations that serves as a trusted partner supporting the Senior Vice President of Operations (SVP) across all areas of responsibility. The MO will have the opportunity to partner directly with the SVP across all areas of the organization. The MO helps the SVP, executive team, and company be more productive and effective. They will work closely with senior leaders, both at the corporate office and in the field, as well as the Project Management Office. The ideal candidate is looking to start or broaden their career in business strategy and operations. Responsibilities include ongoing Program management and execution of strategic initiatives. Program management comprises a set of weekly, quarterly and annual responsibilities. This includes working with SVP to plan the week, month and quarter ahead, providing information and deliverables to help SVP be more productive and effective, and assessing how to quickly and effectively move initiatives forward. Strategic initiatives are discrete projects the MO will lead, or co-lead, on behalf of the SVP or the COO. MO will also track and report performance metrics. MO will attend various departmental and executive meetings to keep a pulse on the business and help connect dots with others across the company. MO will ensure there are clear action items and follow-up after meetings. MO will coordinate the quarterly planning process across the SVP's teams. MO will occasionally help plan leadership events and team meetings. MO will also provide limited calendar planning support to the SVP.


  • Partner with SVP to create and maintain operational excellence tied to strategic projects and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve the client's strategic plan.

  • Act as a liaison across all areas of the organization.

  • Develop and implement action plans and complete project management duties necessary to ensure successful completion of assigned projects and initiatives within specified time frames.

  • Synthesize and interpret data. Assemble various dashboards and analyses.

  • Track and maintain organizational metrics, such as monthly organic growth, NPS and other key measures.

  • Support the SVP by preparing for and participating in meetings with internal teams and external partners. Identify and track action items resulting from these meetings.

  • Record and distribute meeting notes, prioritize resulting action items and deliverables, hold others accountable for completion of assigned tasks.

  • Create presentations and reports.

  • Support SVP's internal and external communications.

  • Catalogue and manage national vendor agreements and contracts. Track and oversee renewal process of assigned agreements.

  • Coordinate appointments for the SVP as requested; includes but is not limited to, team meetings and events, interview scheduling, and vendor meetings.

Education Requirements:

  • An earned Bachelor degree (or its equivalent).

  • Exceptional MS Office experience required. Expert level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a must.


  • Two or more years of experience in Operations Management and/or Project Management.

  • Two or more years of experience in employee health & welfare or retirement benefits industry preferred.
