Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Our client, a local property management company in Brunswick County, is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join their team. The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time position with pay starting at $15/hour, plus benefits.


  • Inspect clubhouse, pavilion and pool weekly, making minor repairs to keep in top shape

  • Inspect bridges, walkways and dock monthly and make minor repairs as needed

  • Inspect gates, fencing, benches and playground equipment monthly and make minor repairs

  • Reprogram lights and gates with time change in spring and fall

  • Pressure wash or apply cleaning treatment to buildings and amenities annually or as needed

  • Clean and paint facilities, change light-bulbs as needed

  • Inspect storm water valves and gates and clean out if needed

  • Inspect front residential monument and make minor repairs

  • Clean brick columns, curbs and gutters on a rotation basis

  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, construction and electrical

  • Experience painting, pressure washing and cleaning


  • Ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to climb a ladder

  • Ability to bend and work on floor area

  • Strong work ethic and integrity

  • Ability to keep records

  • Friendly and accommodating demeanor

  • Expertise to make minor repairs

  • Ability to respond to emergency situations (fire, water, etc.)
