Job Description:

Our client, a leading IT business solutions company based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a motivated IT Sales Consultant to add to their team! The IT Sales Consultant is an outside sales position that creatively uses multiple prospecting tools to develop and acquire new accounts with a defined geographic territory. You will create and present ideas and solutions to business professionals and will be responsible for selling IT based solutions. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity with a company that offers competitive benefits and PTO.


  • Generate new business using a variety of prospecting tools

  • Schedule appointments, prepare presentations, proposals, demonstrate equipment

  • Develop solutions that demonstrate value added benefits to customers

  • Identify and properly qualify potential prospects and customers

  • Listen and understand customer needs and requirements with high priority on customer satisfaction

  • Maintain knowledge of company and competitor's equipment

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing, computer science, business, or MIS preferred

Desired Background/Skills:


    • Relevant outside sales experience considered

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Independent self-starter attitude with a strong work ethic

    • Experience using Connectwise or similar sales CRM a plus

    • Enthusiasm and positive attitude

    • Ability to pay attention to detail & manage multiple ongoing client engagements

    • Aptitude to prospect net new business as well as cultivate new opportunities within existing clients

    • Ability to perform under pressure and work well in a team environment

    • An IT background selling solutions with reoccurring revenues preferred
