IT Business Analyst

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an IT Business Analyst to join their team! As member of the End User Experience Team, and in partnership with functional and technical teams, you will facilitate, document and deliver new business processes and continuous improvement to existing processes, to achieve efficient and effective outcomes. This is a full time, contract position based in Raleigh, NC.


  • Enhance the quality of IT solutions and services

  • Participate in business process design workshops to develop lean, value creating, cross functional processes

  • Facilitate meetings to solicit input, provide feedback and seek agreement to processes, tools, data, reports, service levels

  • Create requirements documents including problem statement, impact analysis, and proposed solutions

  • Develop standard operating procedures including process maps and work instructions

  • Assist with translation of business requirements to technical specifications or stories

  • Work closely with IT teams and influence integrated solution designs with inputs from analysis and design phases

  • Document reporting requirements for each process, including data capture and control

  • Provide inputs to create integrated end-to-end test strategy aligned with agreed solution designs

  • Support UAT testing to validate successful implementation of the business requirements

  • Perform analysis to understand changes to existing business processes, tools and data, and impact to customers

  • Facilitate transition of process change analysis to end user directed communications, job aids or training content to support user adoption

  • Develop process control documents with completeness and accuracy rules to ensure adequate quality and control checks

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer information systems or information science or comparable combined certifications, education and experience

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging 6 Sigma concepts to reduce defects

  • IIBA Certifications

  • ITIL V3 Service Design, Transition and/or Support Intermediate Certifications

  • ITIL V4 Managing Professional Certifications

  • Experience with Workday


  • 5 -7 years of relevant business analysis work with a focus on end user or customer support processes and systems

  • Experience developing processes associated with corporate end user services including user portal development,

  • Experience with ServiceNow service catalog, incident management, problem management, change management modules

  • ITIL Foundations Certification

  • Demonstrated experience using data to develop business insights

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Analytical mindset

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail
