Instructional Designer


Job Description:

Our client, located in Cary, NC, is seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to add to their team! This role interacts with Project Management, client stakeholders, and subject matter experts. An Instructional Designer may consult with project stakeholders to determine high level learning goals and learning audience. This individual will also translate these needs into skills or performance objectives, and design training that meet these objectives, using a variety of formats. This is a full time, contract opportunity with an innovative and exciting company.


Responsibilities:


  • Select, modify, or create a design and development model appropriate for a given project

  • Select and use a variety of techniques to define and sequence the instructional content and strategies

  • Select or modify existing instructional materials

  • Develop instructional materials

  • Design instruction that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners and groups of learners

  • Evaluate and assess instruction and its impact


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • Strong consulting/client service skills

    • Strong written and verbal skills

    • A proactive approach to responsibilities and problem solving

    • Knowledge of ADDIE Model

    • Development experience in authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and/or Captivate

    • High attention to detail and accuracy
