Instructional Designer


Job Description:

Our client is looking for an Instructional Designer to join their team! The Instructional Designer is responsible for the design and development of learning solutions that enable the client's Team Members to adopt and excel in their use of Oracle Cloud Financials. The Instructional Designer will partner with business leaders to align with the technical roadmap and use proven instructional methods to design effective, engaging and integrated learning experiences and develop high-quality supporting materials. This is a full time, contract position based in Chapel Hill, NC.


Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose learning needs for the target audience

  • Development of high quality materials including eLearning, facilitation materials, participant guides, worksheets, job aids, facilitator manuals, animations, video, and voiceovers, in alignment with design standards.

  • Validation of functionality in staging environments to support learning development.

  • Measure effectiveness of training programs to ensure they meet the goals of the project; use of the Kirkpatrick Model.

  • Stay up-to-date on latest trends in instructional design and technologies.


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education or related field


Desired Background/Skills:


  • Mastery of eLearning tools; Articulate Storyline is preferred.


Qualifications:


  • 3-5 years' experience in an Instructional Design, training or a similar role.

  • Experience with audio and video editing tools and workflows

  • Highly motivated, productive, deadline driven, and independent developer, who will also collaborate with other instructional designers to develop guidelines and tools to assess and improve course materials

  • Possess excellent above average verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and content editing capabilities.
