Injection Mold Maintenance Technician

Job Description:

Our client in Roxboro, NC has an immediate need for an Injection Mold Maintenance Technician to add to their team! The Maintenance Technician will set, adjust, and maintain assigned plastic injection molding machines and equipment with responsibility for production efficiency and safety. This will be a direct hire, 1st shift opportunity with flexibility and overtime in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.


  • Ability to work on injection molding and related equipment.

  • Visually inspects and troubleshoots machines and equipment to locate cause of malfunction.

  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned.

  • Analyzes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and operational problems in injection molding.

  • Fabrication and installation of related trades. Perform building maintenance and general carpentry.

  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Two year Technical Degree preferred or equivalent experience

Desired Background/Skills:

  • 3+ years in Plastic Injection Molding and Maintenance Technician experience


  • Experience with medium tonnage plastic injection molding machines preferred. Nissei, Boy, Arburg

  • Knowledge of robot operation (automation)

  • Advance Electronics repair, wiring, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc. is a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Knowledge of robot operations is a plus

  • Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem-solving
