HR Coordinator


Job Description:

Our client, located in Durham, NC, is in search of an entry level HR Coordinator to add to their growing team. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for interview scheduling, new hire onboarding and orientation. This role is estimated to last 3-6 months with potential to extend.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide first point of contact and excellent customer service for interview scheduling and new hire onboarding

  • Documents all customer interactions accurately into the case management tool and escalates complex inquiries for resolution

  • Oversees and manages timely execution of scheduling interviews, onboarding process from initiation and adjudication of background check, and communicating with hiring managers and recruiters

  • Delivers day 1 information to new hires, ensuring compliance of I-9 verification, collection of export control documentation, and completion of onboarding tasks.

  • Oversees back-end logistics of hiring, including but not limited to: scheduling onsite/phone/virtual interviews,

  • Works with peers and management to support established service levels and quality goals.

  • May also conduct special projects, such as providing training to less experienced HR associates.

  • Supports the HR Department?s mission to create opportunities for employees to experience Great Jobs, Great Bosses, and Great Rewards

  • Solicits input to improve HR processes and identifies ways to improve company policies and procedures to improve the employee experience

  • Participates in teams and on projects as requested

  • Leads and facilitates onsite new hire orientation


Education Requirements:


  • 4-year degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Sociology or a related field strongly preferred

  • Experience with an HR shared service center environment is a plus

  • Experience with Workday or ServiceNow is a plus

  • Good skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

    • Ability to occasionally shift work schedule to accommodate meetings, trainings or other night-shift events

    • Solid verbal and written communication/customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely by phone, chat, and/or in person

    • Experience with an HR shared service center environment is a plus
