HR and Development Intern


Job Description:

Our client, a global non-profit research organization located in RTP, is seeking a HR and Development Intern to work during the summer semester of 2018 within the organization's CFO Office. This internship will provide the successful prospect with a mentored learning experience in organizational learning and development and the opportunity to expand his/her classroom knowledge and skills within a professional setting. This position is a three month internship opportunity located in Research Triangle Park, NC. Cover letter required.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the organization's Corporate Treasurer, develop the CFO's "Finance Business Partnering Training Curriculum". This will provide the organization's Finance community with learning opportunities to develop and apply the business partnering skills, finance skills and leadership behaviors necessary for successful business partnering and increased professional success

  • Contribute to the creation of the organization's Finance Business Partnering Training Curriculum through the identification and curation of a series of on-line development modules. These modules focus on six "Lead Forward" Leadership Behaviors: Communicate, Collaborate, Innovate, Act Strategically, Think Globally and Develop Talent

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Treasurer; for each leadership behavior listed above, several related high-quality self-study courses will be identified and brought onto the organization's online learning platform

  • Lead "Finance Business Partnering Training Curriculum" focus group discussions and usability testing prior to final training curriculum release


Education Requirements:


  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student (rising Junior or Senior), who is studying one of the following fields: Business Administration, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development

    Qualifications:


    • Ability to develop, create and implement educational programs that connect employees with business goals

    • Career interest in Human Resources, Employee Education or Organizational Development

    • Demonstrated leadership skills

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills

    • Attention to detail

    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
