Government Compliance Specialist


Job Description:

Our client, a global non-profit research firm in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a skilled Government Compliance Specialist to add to their team! This individual will perform subcontract invoice reviews for accuracy and compliance against applicable regulations. You will also assist with the subcontract closeout process and perform other duties as assigned. This is a full time contract opportunity!


Responsibilities:


  • Perform subcontract invoice compliance reviews to ensure subcontract invoices meet applicable requirements

  • Primary emphasis will be on reviewing invoices both for accuracy but also against other requirements including Federal Government regulations, subcontract provisions or other

  • Assist with the subcontract closeout process

  • Work with Project Managers to confirm closeout, obtaining past performance information, performing audits of invoices, and obtaining closeout documentation from subcontractors

  • Other duties as assigned


Education Requirements:


  • Minimum AA/AS degree preferably in a Business/Accounting/Finance area

  • BS/BA degree and/or related work experience preferred

    Qualifications:


    • Strong analytical skills and be able to spot/catch errors; good with numbers and calculations

    • Follow precise internal (invoice review/audit) guidelines

    • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams

    • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint software

    • Ability to multi-task

    • Ability to work well with others

    • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing

    • Ability to work independently

    • Attention to detail and accuracy
