Garnishment Administrator


Job Description:

Our client, a leading health and benefits company is looking for a Garnishment Administrator to join their growing team. This is a 6 month contract position with possible extension, based in Atlanta, GA.


Responsibilities:


  • Process court ordered wage garnishments including but not limited to child support and custody and divorces.

  • Ensures wage garnishment orders are entered into the payroll system accurately

  • Responds to routine inquiries from employees, federal agencies, state agencies, court, attorneys and other third party agencies regarding garnishment orders; escalates to Payroll Manager if required

  • Researches incorrect deductions and resolves issues

  • Maintains garnishment orders according to information within the order such as application deadlines, begin and end dates.

  • Work in collaboration with internal Payroll department

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree preferred

    • Knowledge of labor rules in different states

    • Demonstrates integrity, accountability and ethics

    • Garnishment administration experience required
