Game Systems Programmer (Unity)

Job Description:

Our enterprise sized client in the area is in need of a game systems programmer, who will be in charge of creating gameplay systems and toolsets for other developers on the team. This role will have a focus on software architecture and being able to create well-crafted systems that have the possibility to be adapted to future projects.


  • Creating complex and scalable gameplay systems that can be handed off to other developers to be utilized.

  • Work alongside a Project Manager to create project roadmaps, track tasks, and evaluate project timelines.

  • Working closely with other Developers, Designers, Artists, and QA to create systems and tools that support their ideas and workflow.

  • Creating systems that will support the lifetime of the software and can mitigate changes that may be needed in the future.

  • The ability to evaluate, troubleshoot and fix gameplay systems when issues arise.

Education Requirements:

    Desired Background/Skills:

    • Reactive and Async libraries in Unity (UniRX, UniTask).

    • Experience with writing Unit Tests in Unity.

    • Experience with DOTS suite (ECS, Jobs, Burst).

    • Knowledge of the UnityEditor API.

    • Knowledge of Networking Protocols and Libraries.

    • Experience with other Game Engines (Unreal Engine, Godot, Lumberyard, etc.).


    • 3+ Years of C# .Net programming with Unity.

    • Worked on a project as a Game Systems Programmer.

    • Understands importance and practices SOLID and OOP.

    • Expert Knowledge of the UnityEngine API.

    • Experience with building to multiple platforms (Windows, Android, iOS, WebGL, HoloLens).

    • Experience with XR Development.

    • Able to work in a collaborative environment with others.

    • Interest in creating serious games and simulations.
