Field Design Engineer


Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Field Design Engineer to join their team! The Field Design Engineer will be a valuable asset in generating new business (design-in) by identifying new customers, following up on leads generated by the Sales team, visiting new client sites and delivering presentations on our technology. This is a full time, direct hire position based in Wendell, NC.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide specifications and ideas for new applications. Identify areas of opportunity with existing customers for (design-in) solutions that integrate our foil technology by visiting customer locations and understanding their current needs and trends.

  • Provide engineering, design support, and troubleshooting to current customers utilizing our technology to develop new opportunities.

  • Work daily with CSR, Sales team, and Application Engineers to identify new opportunities, follow-up on existing business, and provide technical support as needed.

  • As the technical expert you will meet with design engineers in order to identify, customize, and offer solutions using our client's technology.

  • Provide support in pre-sales through post-sales by working with customers and internal teams through to finalization and production.

  • Ownership of projects until finalization to include; follow-up with ongoing design-wins until production (Customer P/N, BOM, first orders, and sales orders).

  • Follow up on older projects to ensure there is no risk of design-out; continue to offer new solutions to promote new projects.

  • Ability to analyze data and sales statistics; translate results into better solutions for the customer.

  • Execute on sales objectives and goals.

  • General Duties Include: generating and following up on leads, setting up meetings and conferences, delivering presentations and demos, coordinating travel, updating sales matrixes, monthly sales reports, expense reports, and working with both internal/external clients.


Education Requirements:


  • Technical degree or an equivalent qualification

    Qualifications:


    • 5 years of work experiences in technical sales, pre-sales

    • Demonstrated and proven sales results

    • Experience in Semiconductors, Passive components, or Distribution

    • Excellent communicator, ability to build trusting relationships with customers.

    • Self-started, highly motivated, results driven
