Entry-Level Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team! The Electrical Engineer will be tasked with different projects within a specified engineering discipline to support the development of the Senhance surgical robot superintendent. This is an open ended contract position based in Morrisville, NC.


  • Assist with activities relating to the building, testing and evaluation of a surgical device systems

  • Contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks as directed

  • Develop detailed technical requirements, designs, and bench verification.

  • Design, develop, and test custom electronics to support varied system requirements as directed

  • Contribute to digital, analog, RF, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) topics.

  • Perform system integration and prototype bring-up/support with excellent documentation skills

  • Contribute to sustaining existing products as needed.

  • Applies basic technical principles and concepts to the engineering tasks asked to complete

  • Knowledge of ANSI-C firmware development and processes preferred

  • Review and analyze, including formal reports, such things as product concepts, requirements, test results, patents, etc.

  • Comply with regulatory requirements, including company design control procedures.

  • Optimize design for DFM/DFA.

  • Assist in document control and maintenance of design history file.

  • All Other Essential Duties as directed

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree of Science in Electrical Engineer

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Proven ability to interpret, analyze, and present technical information using practical judgment.

  • Knowledge and direct experience with IEC60601-1 preferred

  • Experience in Altium or other ECAD toolset preferred

  • Capable of working in a cross-functioning team environment.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.


  • 1-5 years' experience in FDA Regulated Industry, preferably Medical Device

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to cross-reference documentation from different areas to ensure consistency and compliance to established requirements.
