Deskside Support Technician - Level 1 - Contract

Job Description:

As the Deskside Support Technician, you will report to the Vice President of Technology. As such, you will work within our technology department to provide day-to-day hardware and software support to the internal Greene Resources staff.


  • Provide Level 1 user-facing onsite support for in a Microsoft Windows / Office 365 environment.

  • Receiving, documenting, and resolving 25 - 40 trouble tickets daily.

  • Imagining new equipment and updating software on existing equipment.

  • Initial setup and support of desktops, laptops, and mobile devices

  • Installation and support of computer peripherals and other devices, including VOIP handsets

  • Supporting internal software applications.

  • Active Directory tasks such as resetting passwords, unlocking accounts, and adding/removing group memberships.

  • Training employees on the use of equipment.

  • Create and maintain technical and user documentation.

Education Requirements:

  • An Information Technology degree (or pursuing a degree).

Desired Background/Skills:

  • Microsoft Office 365; including solid Excel skills; pivot tables, manipulating data, etc.


  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Windows 10.
