Job Description:

Our client, a leading global clinical research organization, is seeking a Data Privacy Analyst to join their Data Privacy team at the Raleigh, NC headquarters. This opportunity will play a key role to further enhance the protection of personal information entrusted to our client. This is a full time, contract opportunity with an exciting company.


Responsibilities:


  • Builds, monitors, maintains and trouble shoots a data privacy database following pre-set guidelines

  • Contribute to creating guidelines and user documentation

  • Support overall data lifecycle programme and administration through development, implementation and management of data privacy software tool

  • Develop and execute a compliance plan and routine milestone reporting to address key accountabilities, departmental and organizational commitments

  • Strongly collaborate and provide work direction as needed to other business units who may be completing assignments on privacy software tool

  • Research new legal developments in new data privacy fields/countries

  • Develop and administer privacy related risk assessment questionnaires

  • Review and analyze questionnaire responses

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Data Privacy team in relation to the data lifecycle programme

  • Apply Departmental best practices, maintain existing standard responses and develop/draft these in line with industry changes

  • Identify and assess emerging industry practice issues and risks (interpretation of rules or local Guidelines, impacts of clinical trials legislation) and contribute to Departmental learning regarding client preferences and industry trends

  • Build knowledge and expertise in Data Privacy both EU and Global and assist in decision-making for corrective actions/process/template changes to ensure compliance with laws in force (for example, APAC data transfer developments)


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent


Desired Background/Skills:



    Qualifications:


    • 1-3 years prior experience working in a corporate environment.

    • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and databases/records repository.

    • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university preferred or equivalent experience.

    • Interest in Data Protection essential with a desire to learn. Experience in Data Privacy Preferred.

    • Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously and set own priorities.

    • Flexible, collaborative & team-oriented approach to problem-solving and an ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

    • Able to work both independently and as team member.
